Financial abuse is all about control, and acts as a tool in aiding isolation. It is usually one of several tactics being used by the abuser.

Includes: controlling the budget of the household and not allowing access to any funds, not letting them have access (or even have) a bank account, opening credit cards in their name, not allowing them to pay their debts, not letting them have a job, etc.
