physical abuse

Physical abuse is any intentional act that causes injury or trauma to a person (or animal) in any way. Physical abuse often happens alongside other forms of abuse, as these behaviors are typically used to try to control their victim(s).

Includes: hitting, slapping, punching, strangling, kicking, restraining, cutting, grabbing, pushing, pulling, throwing, biting, using an object as a weapon, etc.
