At this point, you are still a victim – you genuinely believe that you deserved this. No matter if you were discarded, or decided to leave.

You could experience all-consuming thoughts about your abuser, feelings of total emptiness, thoughts of suicide. You may have difficulty in carrying out small tasks, show signs of deterioration and even a decline in self-care.

 

The thoughts of what you no longer have may seem crippling, and you may feel more vulnerable than ever - with feelings of worthlessness, and self-doubt.
